Our Services

We customize your orthodontic treatment based on the severity of your need and how you respond to treatment. The following is a general guide to the various treatments we offer. Call our office today to discuss any questions you have. Together, we’ll create the best plan to put a smile on your face.

Braces/Orthodontic Treatments

Braces put a constant, gentle force upon your teeth in a carefully controlled direction. The braces slowly move your teeth to the correct position. Over the years, the technology in orthodontics has greatly improved. Today’s braces can be made of a variety of materials, such as metal, ceramic, or plastic. The wires that are used are far less noticeable than they used to be and, because they use the latest materials, are able to move the teeth far faster and with less discomfort than they previously could.

Ceramic “Clear” Braces

Ceramic BracesCeramic braces are the same size and shape as metal braces. The big difference is the appearance. The brackets are made from a glass-like composite material that appears translucent. The ligatures (rubber bands) are often white or clear. Even the metal arch can be tooth-colored. These braces are typically good for high school age patients and adults.

Incognito & Harmony Lingual Braces

Incognito & Harmony Lingual BracesIncognito™ braces are the latest technology in orthodontics. They are placed on the tongue side of the teeth so they are completely invisible. Available for adults and high school age patients, not children.

Invisalign® Braces

Invisalign® BracesInvisalign® uses a custom-made series of 18-30 aligner trays created just for you. These trays are made of smooth, comfortable, and virtually invisible plastic. There are no metal brackets to attach and no wires to tighten. You just use a new set of aligners about every two weeks until your treatment is complete. Using the latest technologies, Invisalign is now 50% faster. If you have been told that Invisalign is not for you, ask Dr. Morgan about improved technologies and products.

Self-Ligating Braces

Self-Ligating BracesStandard braces use rubber bands to hold the wire onto your braces. A new state-of-the-art system uses a unique clip to hold the wire in place. These braces require fewer appointments for adjustments throughout your treatment.

Traditional Metal Braces

Traditional Metal BracesFor years, traditional metal braces have been the standard among orthodontic patients. Today’s metal braces are smaller, more comfortable, and more attractive than they were in generations past. Traditional braces are made of exceptionally strong stainless steel. They are connected by wire and require periodic tightening (“adjustments”) to gradually straighten your teeth and align your jaw.

Retainer
RetainerThere are many types of retainers that orthodontists use and we are able to use our on-site lab to make many different types. Our lab technician Cyndi works with each patient to get the perfect fit every time no matter which type of retainer is determined to be best for you. Essix (clear) Retainer – Good for a few years, this clear retainer (similar to an Invisalign tray) is a favorite amongst many patients. Halwey (metal) Retainer – Tried and true, Halwey (metal) retainers can last a very long time (many years) and are a classic in orthodontic retention. Fixed (permanent) Retainer – This retainer is typically on the lower front six teeth. It is nice because you cannot forget to wear it however you do have to floss around it! Nightguard/Retainer Combinations – ask us how to combine the two appliances! Unfortunately, nightguards frequently do NOT hold teeth straight, we can add a nightguard to your retainer if you require both.
Itero™ Digital Scanning
Itero™ Digital ScanningThis scanner eliminates the need for uncomfortable and messy materials to make traditional dental impressions, promoting a more relaxing and comfortable patient experience. This is especially useful for children with sensitive gag reflexes. With iTero™, Dr. Morgan can quickly capture detailed, 3D photographs of each tooth, which saves you invaluable time and money over the course of your orthodontic treatment.
Mouthguards
MouthguardsDuring orthodontic treatment, Dr. Morgan recommends that all patients wear mouthguards to protect your teeth and jaw, particularly during active sports. Once your treatment is complete, we recommend using custom mouthguards. We make mouthguard just like professional athletes use.
Snoring & Sleep Apnea Appliance
Snoring & Sleep Apnea ApplianceMany times by addressing the airway via moving the teeth (either by widening the upper jaw or bringing the lower jaw forward) snoring and/or sleep apnea can be greatly reduced or eliminated. If you experience (or someone you know) has a problem with snoring or sleep apnea, give us a call and we will review all the different ways that may help you. TAP3 This appliance is one of the latest in sleep apnea and snoring treatment. The TAP3 brings the lower jaw forward during sleep to increase the air flow for the patient.
Teeth Whitening

We provide you with a prescription-only bleach concentration along with take-home trays, for your convenience. Take-Home Whitening We give you a custom mouth tray, whitening agent, and detailed instructions. Typically, patients wear the tray for an hour every day for two weeks.
Jaw Surgery
Jaw SurgeryWhen either the upper or lower jaw is misaligned (too forward or backwards), Dr. Morgan works closely with area oral surgeons to correct the jaw structure for the patients. The most common surgeries are a LeFort (upper jaw movement) and a Bilateral Sagittal Split Osteotomy (lower jaw movement). Dr. Morgan has had jaw surgery herself so many patients feel extra comforted by knowing that their orthodontist knows how it feels to be in their shoes. Dr. Morgan spends a long time speaking with all of her surgery patients to make sure they fully understand all of their options. If you are considering surgery, give us a call for your complementary consultation.
Propel VPro5
